A Day of Golf. A Community of Generosity. A Mission That Matters.

On June 27, Bladen County Released Time hosted our first annual golf tournament, and we couldn't be more thankful for the incredible support we received from our community. With 17 teams joining us on the course, God blessed us with a wonderful day of fellowship, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to investing in the lives of students across Bladen County.

The morning began with prayer as we thanked the Lord for His faithfulness and dedicated the day to Him. While the weather brought plenty of heat, overcast skies, and even a brief rain shower near the end of the tournament, it never dampened the excitement or generosity of those who came to support the ministry.

The tournament featured a Captain's Choice format with a shotgun start, creating a fun and competitive atmosphere for golfers of every skill level. Players also enjoyed three Closest to the Pin contests, along with our special Terry Smith's Shot for Gold 50/50 Closest to the Pin Challenge on Hole 16.

By the end of the day, God had done more than we could have imagined. Thanks to the generosity of our players, hole sponsors, donors, and supporters, our very first golf tournament raised $8,180.

These funds will help support the general operating expenses of Bladen County Released Time, allowing us to continue sharing the Gospel with public school students throughout our county. Every gift helps provide transportation, curriculum, supplies, and the resources needed to continue reaching students with the hope found in Jesus Christ.

This tournament was about much more than golf. It was about a community coming together to invest in the next generation and partnering in the work God is doing through Released Time. We are truly grateful to every person who prayed, volunteered, played, sponsored a hole, donated prizes, or encouraged us along the way.
